We’re been working hard on providing a solution for the disruption caused by coronavirus, and we’re almost ready to unveil it.
Physiotherapy UK – the live event, planned for 13-14 November in Birmingham – will not take place. Instead, say hello to vPUK 2020.
This is not a teleconference or webinar – you’ll have to see it to believe it.
vPUK 2020 will welcome up to 2,000 delegates each day into a huge virtual world designed exclusively for the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy, with full avatar-based interaction. Want to meet up with your colleagues in a specified room, or at a particular poster or exhibition stand? No problem.
And picture this: you’re in a crowded conference hall, with hundreds of other people when you catch sight of an old friend. Walk up to them say hello! Pop into a private room for a confidential chat, go to the beach, enjoy a boat ride with them… or just sit next to each other at the next session.
Think this is not possible in a virtual world? Think again.
Top speakers already confirmed for 2020
The Chartered Society of Physiotherapy Founders’ Lecture will be delivered by Professor Sallie Lamb, Mireille Gillings Professor for Health Innovation at the University of Exeter.
Professor Lamb will be joined on stage by Suzanne Rastrick, Chief Allied Health Professions Officer at NHS England, and closing the conference is Irish Rugby Football Union’s Head of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, Professor Phil Glasgow.
This year's themes:
